BellMont Facade Engineering has been serving Greater Sydney and the Hunter Region for more than 20 years. Director Bill Moisidis and his team of structural engineers have vast experience working with Fosroc ANZ products. Here is our Q&A with Bill.
What engineering services does BellMont provide?
We work all over Sydney and the east coast of New South Wales providing structural, facade, diagnostic and specialist engineering solutions. We consult on new buildings and design remediation solutions for existing buildings, including those with heritage status. Our team works closely with builders, body corporates, strata managers and construction firms.
Our solutions are always tailored to the client and the problem. For buildings with multiple owners, getting the cost-benefit balance right requires great care and flexibility.
Building design and defect reports are another large part of our expertise. We offer expert witness services and act in building defect litigation. Our understanding of products and their application allows for efficient assessment of issues that will develop on buildings.
Which Fosroc ANZ products do you use?
We work with Fosroc on many of our remedial jobs, including waterproofing and concrete repairs. We regularly specify Renderoc repair mortars and Conbextra grouts. We also use the Nitocote protective coatings, as the final step of the repair process for concrete facades.
For waterproofing, the Proofex Torchseal membranes are well known and trusted. We used them recently on a Sydney apartment building, with added insulation benefits. We also use the liquid waterproofing range.

How does Fosroc help with specifications?
We know the products well so sometimes we do the specification ourselves. For trickier projects that require more detail, we will ask Fosroc. There is a real benefit in talking to Fosroc early as we can clarify what warranties are available with particular specifications. That helps us present the full picture to our customers.
With strata managers and body corporates, there are multiple issues, including cost and the fact that various owners have different priorities. Some might be looking for a short-term solution, others are willing to pay more for the best long-term repair. Fosroc will help us work to the client’s budget. Sometimes we even put forward two specifications with different cost models. Fosroc helps us explain the cost-benefit scenarios.
